- Develop and implement a comprehensive math curriculum for 6th-8th grade, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry, aligned with state standards and district guidelines.
- Teach mathematical concepts and skills to middle school students, including numerical operations, algebraic expressions, equations, functions, and geometric principles.
- Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including those requiring intervention or enrichment.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment where students feel empowered to engage with challenging mathematical concepts.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to enhance student learning and understanding.
- Assess student progress regularly using formative and summative assessments, and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary units and projects that integrate mathematics with other subject areas.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in math education.
- Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Valid Texas teaching certification in Mathematics (6th-8th grade) or Secondary Mathematics (8th-12th grade).
- Previous experience teaching middle school math, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry.
- Strong knowledge of middle school mathematics content and pedagogy, including algebraic concepts and geometric principles.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can succeed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using technology to enhance instruction and student learning.
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
