    Position Summary

    Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

    Southeast Missouri State University Autism Center for Diagnosis and Treatment

    Full time

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Room patients being seen for medical follow-up and diagnostic evaluations
    • Obtain patient vitals and complete other designated nursing responsibilities
    • Assist with coordination of diagnostic and medical follow-up clinic flow
    • Triage patient phone calls and assist with family resource navigation
    • Perform appropriate charting and upload necessary patient-related documents to electronic medical records system with attention to detail
    • Complete authorizations, referrals and orders in collaboration with and under direction of diagnostic clinician(s)
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
    • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe patient care environment
    • Communicate professionally with supervisors, families, and other professionals
    Required Qualifications
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Licensed as a practical nurse (LPN) in the state of Missouri
    • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
    • Experience working in a pediatric clinic and/or with children with developmental disabilities a plus
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Ability to pass a background check
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Ability to communicate and collaborate professionally with families, staff, students and community partners
