    Job Summary:

    As a n Associate Electrical Engineer, you will manage the inception , design development, implementation, and sustainment of low voltage (600V and below) and medium voltage (5kV and 12kV) A C and DC electrical systems supporting the many assets at the Disneyland Resort . You will help develop bid level construction documents including drawing s and specifications . Another responsibility is to provide immediate support and response to reactionary projects requiring immediate attention . You will support the development and authoring of proposals and develop workload estimates with critical path schedule dates to support our project management team.

    You will report to the Manager, M echanical, Electrical and P lumbing/Piping (MEP) Engineering with DLR Architecture & Facilities Engineering (A&FE).

    Responsibilities

    Leadership:
    • Act as Owner's Representative on projects from concept through construction at the Disneyland Resort.
    • Perform as Engineer of Record, including signing and sealing construction documents as needed.
    Management:
    • Manage the design and development of contract documents of projects with in-house and outside resources to meet project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
    • Coordinate design activities and monitor field installations and demolition work that comply with specifications and code requirements.
    Technical Skills:
    • Use and build from previous experience to develop concept designs and Request for Proposals.
    • Review drawings, engineering calculations, and specifications and ensure that all projects are designed and executed to applicable local and state codes and statutes.
    • Review shop drawing submittals and respond to vendor's requests for information per Resort standards.
    • Visit site locations to problem solve issues and minimize schedule impacts.
    Relationship:
    • Partner with internal teams to develop, maintain , communicate, and enforce Walt Disney Company design guidelines, standards, master specifications, and details.
    • Assist Project and Design Managers to resolve design compliance issues relating to Projects requirements. Validate that all Item Specifications are consistent with products installed before archiving manuals.
    • Build enhanced communications and expectations to successfully execute all projects.
    Basic Qualifications
    • Field experience in a related engineering discipline.
    • Experience with design, procurement, an d construction support .
    • A bility to collaborate and endeavor in a team environment to ensure a successful product.
    • Minim um of 1 year of AutoCAD and Revit experience.
    • Experience with Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam Revu.
    • Experience bringing concepts into physical reality.
    • Familiar with California Electrical code, IEEE electrical low voltage (Brown, Buff and Red book ), California energy code s (i.e. Title 24), able to develop concepts, further and enhance electrical safety practices, and procedures within electrical engineering design, implementation, and provide overall discipline stewardship.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • EIT/FE working towards a Professional Engineers license.
    • Disneyland College Program or Professional Internship experience.
    • Other Disneyland Resorts Lines of Business (LOB) experience.
    • Lighting design and implementation with certification.
    Required Education
    • BS Engineering from an ABET accredited university.

    The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $70,000.00 to $93,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
