    Essential FunctionsPT Custodian at Dunbar Community Center $11.00To perform custodial duties and grounds maintenance activities at the Community Center. Cleans and maintains the Community Center.

    Performs maintenance duties such as replacing light bulbs, replacing fence posts, painting, repairing tables and equipment; notifies supervisor of major repairs needed.

    Empties, cleans and sanitizes waste receptacles inside and outside the facility. Cleans and dusts glass windows, and air vents; changes air vents as needed. Cleans rest rooms and replenishes necessary supplies; cleans and sanitizes equipment. Sweeps and mops floors; vacuums carpeted areas; buffs, strips and waxes hard surface floors as needed.
    PT Crew Worker (Special Projects): Starting hourly rate $13.50Maintains vacant properties: Mows, rakes, sweeps, and trims abandoned lots. Measures boards, uses circular saw and power drill to board & secure open/vacant houses. Removes graffiti on vacant houses, fences and storage buildings. Uses hand and garden tools to clean lots. Uses commercial mowers and weed eaters to cut and clean properties.

    Assists Community Service Coordinator with Community Service workers; assisting with curb side pick up, trash and debris, and trips to landfill.

    May operates a City pool automobile in the performance of essential job functions. Other duties as assigned.


    PT Custodial Worker I:
    Starting hourly rate $13.00 Cleaning rest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces. Sweeps floors, dusts baseboards, cleans windows and perform other light custodial and housekeeping tasks. Empties and replaces plastic liners in wastebaskets and recycle bins. Maintains an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; notifies supervisor of supplies needed.

    Minimum Qualifications, Additional Requirements and Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThese knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through the completion of one (1) year of experience in general or manual labor.

    Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.


    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
    Pre-employment screening requirements will be determined by the job description and/or duties. These screenings may include, but are not limited to complete criminal history background check, physical, drug and alcohol screen.

    Certain positions may require operating a City pool automobile in the performance of essential job functions and a valid AR Driver's License will be required and must be maintained throughout employment.

    Regular part-time employees who work 1,500 hours shall receive six (6) days of Sick Leave upon the completion of the 1,500 hours.

    If unused, this Sick Leave shall be allowed to accumulate to a maximum of fifteen (15) days (120 hours).

    Regular, full-time non-probationary employees who transfer to Regular, part-time positions will receive credit for the previous year's service for purposes of Sick Leave accrual and may carry over accrued Sick Leave accrual up to the maximum noted above.

    Regular part-time employees who were in pay status (vacation, sick leave, or actual hours worked) for at least 1,500 hours during the year shall receive the following

    Vacation Leave:
