- Stay updated on company policies, federal housing programs, and investor guidelines.
- Update loan application information in various software platforms.
- Order appraisals, titles, and other necessary items for loan approval; follow up on outstanding documents.
- Analyze collected data to determine compliance and documentation requirements.
- Assess income, assets, and liabilities.
- Review and ensure completeness of all disclosures.
- Conduct final evaluation of applications and submit eligible files with specified conditions.
- Track rate lock information and communicate any discrepancies.
- Maintain an accurate pipeline for projections and compliance.
- Prepare "Declination Letters" as needed.
- Schedule closing appointments and provide excellent customer service.
- Train junior processors.
- Keep stakeholders updated on loan status.
- Communicate with customers throughout the loan process and address any queries.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of mortgage banking experience.
- Knowledge of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, FHA/VA policies, and Regulatory Mortgage Compliance.
- Proficient in various software applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective interaction with various personnel.
- Demonstrated decision-making skills.
- Ability to work scheduled hours and overtime as needed.
