- Assist in the planning, design, and execution of municipal engineering projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to establish project plans, including identification of staffing requirements and preparation of detailed project schedules.
- Perform project designs, managing resources within the constraints of project budgets and schedules.
- Serve as a project engineer, providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Independently coordinates the work of engineers-in-training, designers/draft persons, and sub-consultants, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve project goals.
- Represent LAN with professionalism and expertise before clients.
- Contribute to marketing efforts, showcasing LAN's capabilities in municipal engineering.
- Assist in the development of contractual agreements and play a pivotal role in the implementation of design solutions that meet client expectations and municipal standards.
- Assist in the management of the financial aspects of assigned engineering projects, coordinating and adjusting the work effort within the project team to ensure on-schedule and within-budget project completion.
- Simultaneously being involved with various projects and clients, demonstrating time management and effective quality work.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Civil 3D and/or MicroStation for precise and efficient project design and drafting.
- Apply advanced engineering principles to solve complex problems and stay abreast of emerging technologies and regulatory changes affecting municipal engineering.
- Take a leadership role in project team quality system tasks, ensuring adherence to defined Quality Assurance / Quality Control guidelines.
- Visit construction sites to monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure compliance with contract documents.
- Bachelor's or Masters degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
- 4+ years experience in municipal engineering or a related field.
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE).
- Proven understanding of project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple municipal engineering projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for effective team coordination and client interactions.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and other relevant engineering software, is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
