- Performs oral healthcare examinations and screenings, risk assessments and evaluates patient's current health status.
- Responsible for accurate recording of examination information and treatment performed.
- Administers oral prophylactic, local anesthesia and dental hygiene treatment to patients.
- Takes, develops and interprets intra-oral and extra-oral x-rays.
- Provides dental hygiene instruction and training to individuals and groups.
- Serves as the principal advisor within the service unit for dental health promotion and disease prevention activities.
- Collaborates with other departments, community organizations, schools, tribal programs and other available resources.
