    Description

    Software Engineer / Architect Position at Infoscitex (IST)

    Infoscitex (IST), a division of DCS Corp, is seeking a talented Software Engineer / Architect to join our team in Dayton, OH. Our focus is on cutting-edge aircraft system design, particularly in managing energy dissipation and heat associated with aircraft control techniques such as sensors and engines.

    We are dedicated to developing software simulation models, algorithms, and materials for research in air vehicle autonomy and human-autonomous systems interactions.

    In this role, you will lead the design process, collaborating with subject matter experts to determine the optimal approach for integrating real-time software monitoring solutions.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Provide expertise in computer science and control structures
    • Design, develop, test, and deploy software architectures for autonomy and control applications
    • Apply rigorous software development processes in an agile R&D environment
    • Utilize systems and software engineering principles to manage complexity and increase reusability
    • Document code and architecture, and engage with stakeholders during design reviews

    Requirements:

    • U.S. Citizenship required due to project sensitivity
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
    • Minimum 8 years of experience
    • Ability to obtain at least a U.S. DoD Secret level clearance
    • Proficiency in JAVA, C, MatLab
    • Experience with software development processes and tools (e.g. DevOps, CI/CD)
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams

    Desired Attributes:

    • Experience in software development within research environments
    • Proficiency in Java and C programming
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Background in developing code for control systems and cyber-physical applications
    • Experience with real-time embedded software in critical applications

    Exposure to Advanced Concepts:

    • Formal methods, machine learning, deep neural networks, etc.
    • Ability to articulate abstract concepts clearly
