    The Sr.

    Manager, Process Engineering provides technical leadership in the scale up and commercialization projects of new and renovated products and ensures product integrity during commissioning of manufacturing sites and new equipment.

    The incumbent works primarily with the Snacks businesses and may be asked to provide technical guidance and support to other businesses as required.

    The Sr Manager assists in ensuring consumer satisfaction through consistently and safely manufacturing our products at Hain facilities and across our contract manufacturing network.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


    Leads technical projects to commission, qualify, validate manufacturing processes and equipment to deliver consistent product quality with optimized manufacturing efficiency.

    Serves as RDQ primary point of contact for process engineering workstreams for site transfers and equipment commissioning projects.

    Partners with RDQ on NPD projects to coordinate plant trial production processes and inclusive of scheduling and material (ingredients, packaging etc.) delivery logistics.

    Designs and executes trials and production runs, as required, to ensure center lining of process parameters, optimize product quality, and operational throughputs.

    Collaborates with Quality & Product Safety and Regulatory to ensure food safety and regulatory compliance.
    Monitors production variances to identify potential cost savings measures and initiates new programs through our stage gate process.

    Becomes the R&D subject matter expert on scouting manufacturing equipment capabilities associated with the processes for food production and provides recommendations for both process and product quality improvements.

    Maintains ongoing research and knowledge of manufacturing technologies inclusive of potential opportunities for new products.
    Partners with co-manufacturers and internal facilities to troubleshoot or optimize production processes, efficiencies, and deviations.

    Contributes to cross functional team meetings with Commercial and Supply Chain personnel to deliver projects and associated timelines, goals, and objectives.

    May assists with other projects as needed.
    Approximately 25% travel required. Travel may be local, cross country or international.

    • USQualificationsMinimum eight years' experience in a process engineering role or related capacity with track record of successfully commissioning new products, processes, and equipment within the packaged food or supplement industries.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's Degree or higher in food process engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or related engineering field.
    Understands operating principles of manufacturing equipment, their processes and capabilities across the food industry. Experience with dry blending, slicing, frying, baking, extrusion, and seasoning systems a plus.
    Exceptional organizational skills, ability to handle multiple priorities and strong attention to detail is required.
    Experienced with statistical process controls, experimental design, and data analysis.
    Strong leadership and influencing skills and ability to communicate (verbal/writing) effectively.
    Self-starter and strong analytical / problem solving skills.
    Ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization and across other functional areas.
    Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
