Job Requirements
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state
Minimum 1 year of experience in
PCU, step-down, telemetry, or similar acute care setting
BLS certification required
ACLS preferred (not required)
Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment
Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and communication skills
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care to Progressive Care Unit patients as a
PCU RN
Monitor and assess patient conditions, including telemetry monitoring and early recognition of clinical changes
Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments per hospital policy
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—physicians, respiratory therapy, case management, and ancillary staff
Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record
Participate in patient and family education and discharge planning for step-down level care
Support the hospital's standards for safety, clinical excellence, and compassionate care
