Job Summary:

Reno Print Store is seeking an Operations & Team Development Manager who brings both structure and positivity to the workplace. This role is responsible for maintaining day-to-day operational consistency, upholding company standards, and actively developing team performance.

We are looking for someone who brings energy into a room, builds trust through consistency and clear communication, and leads with clarity and confidence. You must be comfortable leading direct performance conversations while maintaining a respectful and encouraging tone. This role requires strong follow-through, visible leadership presence, and the ability to coach individuals toward consistent, measurable improvement.

This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role. You will develop a strong understanding of workflows across departments, reinforce expectations, conduct structured 1-on-1 development meetings, and step into operational roles when needed to maintain continuity.

Success in this role means improved operational consistency, clear accountability, and measurable growth in team performance while maintaining a positive work environment.

This position reports directly to the President.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

  • Oversee daily workflow across all departments to ensure standards and processes are consistently followed.
  • Monitor productivity and address gaps promptly and professionally.
  • Identify and implement practical improvements to efficiency and clarity.
  • Maintain strong day-to-day presence with the team to reinforce expectations.
  • Step into operational roles when necessary to ensure coverage, support training, and maintain continuity.

Team Leadership & Accountability:

  • Conduct regular 1-on-1 meetings focused on development and performance alignment.
  • Set clear expectations and follow up consistently.
  • Address employee concerns and lead conflict resolution with professionalism and fairness.
  • Coach employees toward measurable improvement with defined timelines.
  • Reinforce conduct standards, productivity expectations, and professional behavior daily.
  • Lead corrective action and disciplinary processes as needed.
  • Ensure consistent enforcement of company policies and performance standards.

HR & Employee Development:

  • Manage hiring processes, including screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Ensure onboarding is structured and aligned with company standards.
  • Oversee performance evaluations and documentation.
  • Monitor attendance patterns and time-off requests in accordance with policy.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure consistent policy enforcement.
  • Support disciplinary documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and employment standards.

Training & Cross-Department Support:

  • Ensure procedures and training documentation are current and consistently followed.
  • Drive cross-training to build operational flexibility.
  • Reinforce training standards across departments.

Strategic Support:

  • Collaborate with leadership to improve systems, efficiency, and team performance.
  • Provide operational insight to support internal improvements and growth decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of leadership or operations management experience in a service, retail, or production environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to hold employees accountable while maintaining professionalism and respect.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort leading direct conversations.
  • High emotional intelligence and steady presence under pressure.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and consistent in follow-through.
  • Comfortable being highly present in day-to-day operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard business software; QuickBooks experience preferred.
  • Print industry experience is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60, $75,000.00 per year
