- Utilize hammers, electric grinders, and high-pressure water equipment to remove cast material from aluminum parts.
- Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure safe and efficient operation of tools and equipment.
- Inspect parts for defects or irregularities before and after the knockout and waterblast process.
- Work independently to prioritize tasks and manage workload to meet production deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Communicate any issues or concerns regarding equipment or materials to the supervisor.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to knockout and waterblast techniques.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in a role involving metal casting or fabrication, but not required.
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools, including hammers and grinders.
- Ability to operate high-pressure water equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or irregularities in parts.
- Physical strength and endurance to lift and handle parts weighing between 20 to 75 pounds routinely.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
