    Description:
    The department of Health Policy and Management with Dr. Ilana Graetz are looking for a team player who is enthusiastic, meticulous, well-organized and has excellent interpersonal skills.


    This staff member will support studies, including ongoing local and nationwide randomized controlled trials of mobile health interventions to improve communication and treatment adherence for women with breast cancer.

    Our research aims to improve the health outcomes of patients by monitoring oral chemotherapy adherence through technology.

    Key tasks on this project will include screening, recruiting, consenting, and managing participants in ongoing trials; providing support for survey distribution and participant engagement (sending online patient portals and text messages); learning new technology platforms for adherence monitoring devices; abstracting data from electronic medical records, assisting with IRB submissions and modifications, along with any regulatory requirements; creating and maintaining study databases (REDCap); creating/editing protocols for studies; creating study materials, such as recruitment scripts, templates, newsletters, manuals of operation; creating data reports; training and supervising student research assistants; coordinating and participating in meetings; preparing presentations; contributing to manuscripts; and assisting with other tasks as needed.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


    Assists in the development and implementation of program initiatives which may include the preparation of briefing materials, reports, correspondence and other documents, performing research, developing and maintaining databases, and developing promotional materials.

    Communicates with national and possibly international program contacts.
    Tracks program expenditures, and may participate in the budget preparation process.
    May draft, edit and process grant proposals.
    Prepares and distributes reports.
    Coordinates logistical arrangements for meetings, conferences and travel.
    Performs related responsibilities as required.


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    Previous research experience, including REDCap, IRB, navigating electronic medical records, conducting literature reviews, and participant recruitment preferred.
    Knowledge of breast cancer care preferred.


    NOTE:

    This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University location as needed.
