    Scope/Purpose of the PositionThe Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for leading and developing the quality assurance technicians and supporting a cross-functional operations team by ensuring food safety and quality programs are effectively implemented and monitored.

    This position will require a can-do mindset with a systematic approach to ensure internal and customer food safety and quality expectations are not just met, they are exceeded.

    An individual looking to develop a team of quality technicians, lead and cultivate a food safety and quality culture, and drive continuous improvement of the FSQA systems will find success in this position.


    Requirements:
    Major Responsibilities and Essential Functions Perform all supervisor duties for QA technicians including but not limited to hiring, scheduling, professional development, goal setting, discipline, and payrollEnsure the implementation and effectiveness of food safety and quality systems through the creation and development of monitoring, verification, and validation activitiesMaintain the implementation and development of the facilitys HACCP, SSOP, GMP, CAPA pre-requisite programsAssess data generated by QA and production teams to identify trends and develop plans to drive continuous improvementUtilize a risk-based approach in ensuring all product meets food safety, quality, and regulatory standardsAssist management as a primary contact for 3rd party pest control, chemical supplier, and microbiological lab contracted service providersLead team meetings with QA team and Plant management teamsSupport and partake in 3rd Party audits (SQF, Non-GMO, Organic, Customer, FDA, Kosher)

    Adhere to Bakerlys safety policies and proceduresAdhere to Bakerlys Good Manufacturing PracticesAll other duties as assigned by managementJob Qualification Requirements Associates or Bachelors degree in a science discipline or 1-3 years of experience in a Quality assurance role in a food manufacturing facilityAbility to assess risk and make decisions under pressure in a fast-paced production environmentAbility to display leadership skills and develop leadership skills of team and coworkersAbility to quickly respond to incidents and changes and lead a team of technicians through themDisplay initiative to assess department to create, plan, and execute tasks with minimal directionExceptional communication skillsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and/or coworkersAbility to work both independently with minimal supervision and in a team environmentCritical thinking skills and a continuous improvement mindsetAbility to multitask and prioritizeAbility to read and interpret data and related documentationBasic mathematical (addition, division, multiplication, percentages) and computer skills (Email, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Excellent time management skillsExcellent attendance and punctualityMust have flexibility to work overtime or other shifts if neededAbility to work on your feet in a warm and cold environmentBackupPosition Back Up:
