The SolidWorks Drafter plays a crucial role in the design and development of orthopedic devices. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and be proficient in using SolidWorks software for drafting and modeling purposes.

Responsibilities:

• Drafting and Modeling: Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of orthopedic devices using SolidWorks software.
• GD&T Application: Apply GD&T principles to ensure accurate and precise design specifications, including tolerance analysis and dimensioning.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to develop and refine design concepts.
• Review and Revise: Review drawings and models for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards. Make revisions as needed based on feedback and design requirements.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and design records.
• Quality Control: Assist in quality control processes by verifying dimensions, tolerances, and other design specifications.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, software advancements, and best practices to improve drafting efficiency and quality.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Design, Engineering, Drafting Technology, or related field.

Experience: Proven experience as a SolidWorks Drafter or similar role; orthopedic or medical device industry preferred.

SolidWorks Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks software for 3D modeling, drafting, and simulation.

GD&T Knowledge: Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.

Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision in drafting and modeling tasks.

Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicate ideas clearly, and collaborate on design projects.
