    The Foster Care Supervisor provides supervision to Foster Care Case Managers. Collaborates with DCFS to provide appropriate casework services to individuals and families in the Foster Care Program.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
    • Provides direct supervision, training, support, review, and evaluation for foster care case managers and other assigned staff.
    • Directs those supervised in the assignment of cases and work schedules.
    • Ensure case documentation meets agency and COA requirements.
    • Reviews and approves assessments and service plans completed by the foster care case manager.
    • Attends court hearings, case reviews, staffing, and meetings as needed.
    • Leads foster care case managers in moving cases towards permanency.
    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Team of Foster Care Case Managers.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A Master's degree in Social Work or a closely related Human Services field is required with an Illinois Child Welfare License. Two years of experience working with children and/or families. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
