    Position Description

    The digital product manager serves as the primary point of contact between IIR's Center for Law Enforcement Safety and Wellness (LESW) and IIR's Information Technology (IT) team to ensure that programmatic websites and applications consistently articulate the program's missions and promotional messages and to create the best possible product for the end user that meets the needs and expectations of the client.

    This position must possess a keen knowledge and awareness of current communication strategies and trends and the needs and perspectives of key stakeholders, including the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and the law enforcement field.

    Furthermore, this role will be tasked with communicating the product vision and strategy, aligning it with the objectives of the LESW group to develop engaging digital products for LESW stakeholders.

    Responsibilities
    Coordinate efforts among the Center for LESW and the IT team to maintain all programmatic websites and mobile apps
    Serve as the product owner on the IT Scrum development team, facilitating communication between stakeholders and the team, articulating the product vision, streamlining, and prioritizing the product backlog to align with business goals, and ensuring that each iteration delivers value to the LESW group throughout each product's lifecycle
    Receive and troubleshoot website-/app-related inquiries/tickets from LESW staff members and work with the IT team to resolve issues in a timely manner
    Serve as the primary point of contact for all website resource publication requests and work with IT to facilitate this process
    Lead LESW team members in new website/mobile app development projects, to include coordinating meetings with stakeholders, providing IT with expectations and requirements, curating content, interfacing with the client, and testing products
    Coordinate with IT to improve website/mobile app functionality, refresh content, and enhance the overall user experience
    Collaborate and/or coordinate with subject-matter experts, law enforcement officers, and/or multimedia personnel to gather information (interviews, testimonials, and demonstrations) with the goal of producing focused content within the prescribed style
    Review program content for uniformity of message, clarity, logo usage, and proper disclaimer usage
    Recommend to whom, where, and when program content and promotional materials should be disseminated
    Measure usage and engagement rates of communication and promotional materials (e.g., website and social media usage rates)
    Conduct focus group meetings to solicit targeted audience feedback
    Provide updates, as requested, to leadership and BJA regarding engagement and new developments

    Knowledge and Skills
    Bachelor's degree in communications, IT, or a related field preferred
    Minimum 4 years of directly related experience creating and developing communication strategies and promotional materials or a combination of education and professional experience in communications, marketing, or IT
    Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen to interact with many different departments and decision-makers within and outside the organization, including subject-matter experts and law enforcement officers

    Experience working in an Agile software development environment, such as (but not limited to) Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming (XP), is desired.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    Most work is performed in a highly productive and fast-paced virtual office environment with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

    Employees must be able to maintain a quiet remote office space that is free of distractions. Some assignments may require travel.
