    Kettering Health Main Campus


    • Kettering Health Main Campus, formerly Kettering Medical Center, is the flagship hospital of Kettering Health and has been serving Kettering, Ohio and the Greater Dayton area since 1964.
    • The facility includes the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Heart Hospital, maternity service with a level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and level II Emergency Care.

    Responsibilities & Requirements


    The Wound/Ostomy Nurse utilizes the nursing process in providing nursing care to patients in all settings in collaboration with other health care providers.

    The RN is accountable for his/her own professional development and practice within the scope of care defined by law.

    Utilizing organizational resources, the RN acts as a patient advocate for the delivery of safe care including delegation of care and participation in performance and practice improvement activities.

    The delivery of nursing care within the Kettering Network reflects the missions, vision, values and philosophies, of the organization and nursing departments.

    Serves as a resource for nursing staff and other health care professionals regarding wound/ostomy/skin management and care.

    Minimum EducationGraduate of an accredited school of nursingBachelor of Science in Nursing preferred (will consider qualified candidate working toward BSN completion - must be completed within 5 years of hire)

    Minimum Work ExperienceAt least 2 years Med/Surg ExperiencePrevious wound/ostomy experience preferred but not required

    Required Licenses[Ohio, United States] Registered NurseRegistered NurseLicensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered NurseWound/Ostomy certification preferred at hire - if not, required to obtain within 3 years of hire

    Required Skills

    Experience with EPIC charting preferredExperienced and able to work independentlyPrioritization and patient triagePatient teaching experience preferred
