Operations Analyst – Engineering Services - Houston

Job summary
The Operations Analyst provides essential financial analytical and procedural support to the Measurement Automation and Technical Services teams within the Engineering Services group of the Operations Support Group OSG.Lead monthly Capital G&A forecasting for Measurement Automation and Technical Services RCs including data pulls reconciliations and uploads Prepare monthly Capital G&A variance analyses consolidated financial reporting packages for Nat Gas Finance FP&A Engineering Services leadership VP Directors Manage annual Capital G&A budget development including templates timelines consolidations leadership presentations Submit track monthly accruals ensure compliance with SOX audit accounting policies Create maintain AFEs PRNs change requests including coding documentation routing approval coordination Support procurement workflows RFM RFS submissions requisitions PO setup invoice processing Perform data analysis maintain reporting tools dashboards Power BI visuals metric reports financial trend evaluations Assist project documentation financial tracking reclasses coding corrections audit support Perform other ad hoc analysis reporting operational support requests needed Measurement Automation Technical Services leadership Position Requirements Bachelor degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration Engineering related field Advanced degree MBA similar plus but not required ExperienceSpecific Knowledge Three years experience in financial planning analysis operations energy utilities industrial sectors Strong understanding budgeting forecasting variance processes Familiarity capital GAAP budgeting cycles accruals reclasses Knowledge corporate controls Exposure CARS capital systems Experience coordinating crossfunctional teams Handsontime experiencefinancial systems tools Competencies Skills Abilities Developed oral written communication skills explain financial concepts nonfinancial stakeholders Comfortable working fastpaced deadline driven environment multiple priorities evolving requirements Strong organizational problem solving abilities attention detail Advanced proficiency MS Office applications Excel pivot tables formulas Word PowerPoint Outlook familiarity SQL data query tools Plus selfmotivated demonstrate high degree initiative work effectively minimal supervision proficient Flexible collaborate team environment professional respectful demeanor colleagues stakeholders Strong ethical standards commitment compliance corporate policies regulatory requirements Ultimate job level determined based successful candidate skills qualifications experience Position may filled various levels depending on experience skill set
