    Description

    Our client, a leading-edge fuel management solutions company is currently searching for an Application Engineer.

    As an Application Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support and expertise to our clients throughout the product application/instillation process. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with customers, sales teams, and internal departments to identify and understand customer requirements, design appropriate solutions, and ensure successful implementation. This is NOT an IT role. This is a role in the petroleum industry.

    You will be Hybrid (after training period)working from Simsbury, CT, and travel 10% of the time, domestically and internationally.

    • Key ResponsibilitiesAct as Field Application Engineer & Technical Support escalation point
    • Collaborate with sales teams to identify customer needs and requirements for product applications.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to customers during the pre-sales and post-sales process.
    • Design and develop customized solutions based on customer specifications and industry standards.
    • Flow Analysis expertise and knowledge of applicable software and tools is Required.
    • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the functionality and benefits of our product.
    • Assist in the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of our products at customer sites.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and drive continuous improvement.
    • Support Experimentation at all phases of development
    • Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements related to our products and applications.
    • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and training materials for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Interface between contractor and engineering groups during new product design and test phase
    • Become an expert in technical market intelligence/application trends to identify current and future product road gaps & opportunities.
    • RelationshipsPosition reports directly to the Director, Growth Acceleration
    • Position is key member of the Product team.
    • Position interacts with customers, contractors, manufacturing, NPI, sales, and engineering teams.

    Background and Skill

    • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field
    • Proven experience in a similar role, petroleum industry or technical field desired
    • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
    • Flow Analysis expertise and knowledge of applicable software and tools is Required.
    • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites.
    • Must be able to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
    • Technical writing skill a plus
    • Working knowledge of computer applications and skills, such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook
    • Location / TravelOnsite in Simsbury, CT, some remote possibility
    • Willingness to travel approximately 10% of time required, domestic and/or international (tradeshows, customer sites, distributors, field beta sites)

    The base compensation range for this position is $84,700 to $99,000 per year. Your actual base salary will be determined based upon several factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.
