    Position Summary

    Coordinates and implements a company-wide occupational/ industrial hygiene monitoring program and provides technical support


    Responsibilities include:

    developing IH sampling plans for sites, and managing the sampling activities; evaluating exposure results, determining risks, and supporting sites with determining the control of occupational health hazards where needed.

    Foundational knowledge of hazards associated with chemicals, noise, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, Legionella, molds, indoor air quality, and workplace design (ergonomics), including the recognition, evaluation and monitoring of the environmental factors that may impair the health of employees or the efficiency of work operations.

    Develops and recommends corrective action to eliminate, control or reduce occupational health problems. Must be knowledgeable about government regulations. Participates in site EH&S audits.

    Responsibilities


    • Coordinates and implements a company-wide occupational/ industrial hygiene monitoring program and provides technical support as needed.
    • Develops IH sampling plans for sites, and manages the sampling activities; evaluating exposure results, determining risk levels, and supporting sites as needed.
    • Maintaining IH equipment, work in partnership with an AIHA-accredited lab, and ensuring that sites have the needed equipment and supplies to carry out their sampling plans.
    • Develops corrective action plans to eliminate, control or reduce occupational hazard exposures as needed.
    • Must be knowledgeable of OSHA regulations, and ACGIH and AIHA recommended occupational exposure limits.
    • Participates in site EH&S audits.
    • Other duties as assigned
    Minimum Qualifications

    Typically requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
