This role requires scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and process/product changes.

Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.

The ideal candidate will leverage extensive project management experience, combined with deep analytical capabilities and a keen sense of innovation, to lead complex projects from conception to completion.

    Key job responsibilities
Manage and oversee various cross-functional programs, ensuring successful delivery.
Develop and refine program strategies, effectively leading and motivating teams.
Set clear objectives for programs, leveraging data analytics to drive improvements and achieve metrics.
Navigate and resolve ambiguities in business scenarios, applying creative problem-solving skills.
Foster collaboration with internal and external partners to optimize resource allocation and project success.

Develop, implement, and oversee KPI reporting for a program portfolio, ensuring clear visibility of milestones and project performance.
Manage and communicate project budgets effectively.
    A day in the life
Own the strategy for how we optimize cost with our 3P providers to reduce accessorial spend.
Identify the right metrics to balance cost while meeting key SLA's. (Service Level Agreements)
Be an effective communicator through writing to hold business reviews and articulate forward looking strategy across the business.
Have a strong acumen for data analytics and translate large data sets into easy to understand outputs.
Develop sustainable mechanisms that enable the business to scale at a fast pace.
    About the team

Want to join a team to revolutionize a worldwide customer experience and fulfill our promise to become the world's first truly global e-commerce company? Amazon is seeking an experienced Sr.

Program Manager to lead and drive the planning and strategy for optimization of our 3P carrier partnerships.

The Global Mile Destination Operations team is responsible for the movement of inventory from our North American ports to Amazon Fulfillment Center locations.

We utilize multiple inbound strategies to control costs while optimizing for speed to deliver a best-in-class product offering.

Our team operates with a "Think Globally, Act Locally" mindset to ensure that we understand current industry trends and stay on leading edge as a pioneer for new ways to conduct drayage operations.

Successful candidates will be strong leaders who can navigate ambiguity and are comfortable with being able to challenge the status quo.

You will have a strong track record of using data analytics to solve complex problems and thrive in finding new and inventive solutions.

You are an effective communicator that can create and present metrics (and ideas) to drive cross-functional understanding while influencing stakeholders across varying degrees of roles and levels.

You are effective at "seeing around corners" and can interpret trends to make data-driven decisions rooted from both a financial and operational mindset.

As a Senior Program Manager, your primary day-to-day focus is to lead the optimization of our 3P carrier partnerships. You will focus on understanding the barriers faced and develop strategies to mitigate impact to performance.
