    Job Description

    The role of project superintendent at Christa Construction requires a comprehensive set of skills and experience.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Jobsite Safety: Maintain a safe working environment and enforce safety protocols.
    • Schedule Management: Develop and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion.
    • Daily Reporting: Provide regular updates on project progress and address any issues that may arise.
    • Jobsite Communication and Coordination: Facilitate effective communication among team members, subcontractors, and clients.
    • Entrepreneurial Spirit (Leading job with Authority): Demonstrate leadership skills and take charge of projects.
    • Delivering the project High Level of Quality: Ensure high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
    • Accountability: Take responsibility for project outcomes and maintain transparency throughout the process.

    Core Competencies/Skill Sets:

    • Thorough technical knowledge and understanding of all structural trades: Possess expertise in various structural trades, including concrete, masonry, and steel.
    • Read and comprehend all Contract Documents: Understand contract requirements and terms.
    • Geotechnical, structural and materials testing requirements and procedures:
    • Knowledge of soil types and their properties along with the ability to read and comprehend a soils report:
    • Experience managing the installation of public utilities:
    • Knowledge of Sediment and Erosion Control. SWPPP:
    • Thorough technical knowledge and understanding of site development trades:
    • Thorough technical knowledge and understanding of all building envelope trades:
    • Thorough technical knowledge and understanding of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection trades:
    • Thorough technical knowledge and understanding of all finish trade work:
    • Thorough understanding of plumbing, sprinkler, HVAC, and electrical, fair housing and ADA codes:
    • Experience managing, coordinating, and obtaining close-in inspections and certificate of occupancy:
    • Can perform a full submittal review:
    • Understands building codes and envelope requirements:

    Field Management and Administration:

    • Ability to prepare and maintain accurate and professional as-built drawings:
    • Manages the commissioning of the building:
    • Ability to effectively manage and chair weekly subcontractor meetings:
    • Ability to work closely with the Project Manager:
    • Makes project status presentations at owner meetings:
    • Completes and maintains accurate and thorough daily reports:
    • Completes and maintains weekly and incident safety reports:
    • Manages and maintains an up-to-date, posted, and accurate set of contract documents:
    • Maintains accurate submittal files on the project:
    • Performs accurate takeoffs:
    • Is proficient and experienced with FTP sites, F-drive server access, use, and similar computer abilities:
    • Responsible for coordinating and documenting all required project inspections:
    • Has a complete understanding of all subcontractor scopes of work for the project:

    Schedule:

    • Thorough understanding of the critical path on a project:
