    ImmunityBio, Inc.

    Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has accepted for review ImmunityBio's resubmission of its Biologics License Application (BLA) for N-803, a first-in-class IL-15 superagonist, plus Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) for the treatment of BCG-unresponsive non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer carcinoma in situ (CIS) with or without Ta or T1 disease, and has set a user fee goal date (PDUFA date) of April 23, 2024.

    Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced an experienced Sr. Maintenance Technician that will plan and direct the maintenance, preventive/corrective maintenance and upkeep of manufacturing and production equipment.

    The incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to:
    Calibration, Maintenance, troubleshooting and performance repairs on the Process Instrumentation and manufacturing equipment systems. Prepare calibration reports and details document completed work orders. Understand the Advance process and control theory of a Critical or Major system.

    Overhaul and perform corrective and preventive maintenance on plant equipment, filtration systems, centripetal equipment, pumps, Air Handling Units, sterilization, filling equipment, Plant and Critical Utilities equipment electrical controls and instrumentations to include, but not limited to, pressure/Level/Temperature/pH indicators and transmitters, electrical distribution, variable frequency drives, electric motors and electrical control systems.

    Additional responsibilities may include manufacturing supports systems and equipment and office building equipment /systems (i.e. monitor the building management system "BMS").Essential FunctionsPerforms preventive maintenance of critical plant equipment on a regular basis, to include, but not limited to, Manufacturing, Filling, Sterilization Equipment and electrical control systems as responsibility assigned to Manufacturing Maintenance in both cGMP and non-cGMP areas.

    Responsible for repairing and or replacement of the mechanical, electrical and controls components of Manufacturing, Sterilization and Packaging Equipment as assigned.

    Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs critical equipment including but not limited to:

    plant equipment, filtration systems, centripetal equipment, pumps, sterilization, filling packaging equipment and electrical controls to include, but not limited to, indicators, electrical distribution, variable frequency drives, electric motors and electrical control systems.


    Supports engineering projects including but not limited to:
    equipment installation, commissioning, and validation process. Ability to assist within the Engineering Group in equipment failure root cause analysis with prompt resolution.
    Performs and adheres to Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) job plans and drawing redlines as necessary.
    Attends required training and meetings.
    Participates in audits and regulatory inspections as assigned.

    Performs other duties as assignedEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent required with 8+ years of Process GMP, Mechanical experience in a Pharma-Biotech manufacturing environment 5-7 years of experience in a Pharma-Biotech manufacturing environment with a Certified Calibration ProgramBachelor's degree or Equivalent plus 4+ years of Process Instrumentation/Calibration experience in a Pharma-Biotech environmentKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesExcellent Instrumentation and mechanical skills and knowledge of maintenance principles.

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of customer service.

    Hands-on execution of maintenance of process equipment, utility equipment, and facilitiesWorking knowledge of cGMPs, OSHA compliance, HVAC systems and cleanrooms, automatedpharmaceutical processing and plant equipment.

    Follow and comply with EPA, OSHA, and NFPA regulations and with SOPs and cGMP policies.

    Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair of critical equipment including but not limited to:

    plant equipment, filtration systems, centripetal equipment, pumps, sterilization, filling packaging equipment and electrical controls to include, but not limited to, indicators, electrical distribution, variable frequency drives, electric motors and electrical control systems.

    Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environmentAbility to verify mechanical and electrical drawings for accuracyWorking Environment / Physical EnvironmentThis position reports to our onsite location in El Segundo, California.

    Traveling may be required between ImmunityBio sites.

    Exposure to onsite in-lab environmentParticipate in On-Call rotation for after-hours facility and manufacturing support and may work outside of established shift hours upon short notice to address any emergencies.

    Ability to speak, read, understand, and write EnglishAbility to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this positionMust be able to lift frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 poundsThis position is eligible for a discretionary bonus and equity award.

    The base pay range for this position is below.

    The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications, prior experience as well as geographic location.$45.00 (entry-level qualifications) to $55.00 (highly experienced) hourlyThe application window is anticipated to close on 60 days from when it is posted or sooner if the position is filled or closed.
