    The Manufacturing Engineer will leverage general knowledge of manufacturing processes to increase plant efficiencies and meet, or exceed, goals related to safety, quality and production.


    _What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be..._

    • Plan, organize and implement systems and procedures that will enhance manufacturing production.
    • Conduct cause and effect studies and implement corrective measures.
    • Assess production processes to improve product consistency, standardize work procedures, flow, etc.
    • Implement Lean concepts throughout the plant including 5S, Visual Work, Kanban, etc.
    • Create and manage training programs for production employees.
    • Ensure all aspects of new product introduction and changes to existing products are properly communicated to stakeholders.
    • Interface with various departments in coordinating technical information relating to specific projects.
    • Manage capital equipment projects, includingidentifying equipment improvementsand delivering on timeand in budget.
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    _Your Education Should Be..._

    • BS degree in Engineering, preferably Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical

    _Your Physical Work Environment Will Require..._

    • This position will require the ability to move around the production floor to investigate issues with the production equipment or manufactured and purchased parts
    • Lift up to 25 pounds
    • Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, other related tasks in an office setting

    _Your Professional Experience Should Be..._

    • 6 years of experience in a Manufacturing, Mechanical or industrial engineering role.
    • Experience must include working with welding and fabrication processes.
    • Must possess a working knowledge of computers, including MS Word, Excel, etc.
    • Proficient in AutoCAD, ProE, with preferred experience in SolidWorks.
    • ISO 14001, TS-16949 or IATF-15949 knowledge required.
    • Must have experiencewith PFMEA/FMEA.
    • Experience with quality standards, APQP, capital equipment, and procurement highly desirable.
    • Understanding of factory metrics and Lean (Operational Excellence) at a minimum with Six Sigma experience, a plus.
    • Understanding of MIG/TIG/SAW/Laser/Plasma welding practices.
