    Role Description

    The Specialty Care team at Oak Street works under the Population Health umbrella to extend our value based care model into the Specialty care space, advancing our innovative and transformative approach to providing high-quality care.

    The Manager will partner closely with Specialty Care leadership, as well as management across Population Health and Patient Experience/Service Operations to drive the development and refinement of Oak Street's strategic agenda and operations around Specialty Care. This role will leverage data capabilities to improve the strategy, project management, field-facing operations, and data accuracy of Oak Street's referral management activities, with a focus on the Certified Specialist Network - in order to ultimately drive greater impact around Specialty.

    The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, be comfortable with taking ownership and delivering results, have strong stakeholder management skills with a diverse set of functions (including technical and clinical), be analytical and detail oriented by nature, and excited to bring their own experience and innovative ideas.

    Core Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic problem solving, opportunity analyses & new idea generation for initiatives within the Specialty Care team at Oak Street
  • Manage detail-oriented programs with extensive data needs & stakeholder engagement (Population health, Product, third party vendors, field care teams)
  • Drive critical business analytics – interest in learning new programs and skills, and strong analytical chops
  • Engage frequently with field care teams to understand pain points in our current workflows, creatively problem solve, train team members on new processes, and ultimately drive utilization of our Preferred Networks to improve patient care
  • Partner with the Product team on problem solving, idea generation, and issue tracking
  • Manage third party vendor relationships
  • Create metrics and reports to monitor success of programs and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency of workflows and overall project development
  • Opportunities for management as determined by business needs
  • Other duties as assigned
  • What are we looking for?

    We're looking for motivated, strategic individuals with:

  • 3+ years of applicable experience in a highly-analytical fast-paced healthcare environment; early-stage company, management consulting, or public health experience a plus
  • Outstanding communication and influencing skills. Ability to build the trust and confidence of a wide range of stakeholders
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and has incredible levels of tenacity and a pleasantly persistent approach. History of taking ownership and effectively solving difficult problems
  • Strong data management and MS Excel skills; Alteryx experience a plus
  • Unimpeachable integrity
