Description Park House in Dallas - Highland Park Village is seeking a qualified Food Runner. Food Runners are the connection between the F.O.H. and B.O.H. and eliminate a lot of stress and discord by communicating information between cooks and servers. They also make sure the food goes out at the right time looking precisely as the Chef intended. The main responsibility for this position is to deliver food to guests in a friendly, professional & knowledgeable manner. Applicants should be able to work well under pressure, be professional, efficient, detail-oriented, and courteous. We expect a team player attitude for this position. Must have a flexible schedule. Duties and Responsibilities
Complete knowledge of all the ingredient details of every dish on the menu.
Learning all table & position numbers for every section of the restaurant.
Monitor and work on different types of issues as part of team through efficient communication and ensure flawless service and quality assurance.
Perform regular cleaning and remove dust from glass surfaces, plates, ramekins, etc., before usage for food.
Ensure cleanliness of workstations throughout day and clean area before departure.
Coordinate with food servers and ensure adequate supply of food from pantry to guest.
Provide backup to guests by offering food and beverage products. Review side work to determine preparation of work and projects for each shift.
Carry food trays to tables using the correct seat positions on the ticket.
Place entre to the correct seat positions accordingly, serving the women first.
Communicate with serves when guests make direct inquiries.
Must be able to learn and describe food proficiently.
Need to be familiar with the menu, how things are prepared, what they taste like, and if special requests are allowed.
Requirements
1-2 years previous restaurant experience required.
Able to carry trays with food and beverages up to 25lbs.
Possess organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Able to work well with others.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
Be able to communicate clearly.
Must have exceptional grooming habits.
