    Responsibilities:
    • Design, develop, and implement software solutions to support the CDC's DHAP IT projects, focusing on public health initiatives.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and interpret user/system requirements into design specifications.
    • Conduct software testing and validation procedures, and refine systems as necessary based on feedback and performance.
    • Document all system development processes and ensure continuous improvement and maintenance of software.
    • Support the integration of new applications with existing systems and software.
    Minimum Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience.
    • Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
    • Experience with modern frameworks and environments like .NET, Spring, Angular, or React.
    • Demonstrated understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) and noSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
    Preferred:
    • Experience in developing software for healthcare or public health related fields.
    • Knowledge of federal IT security and privacy regulations.
    • Experience in Agile development environments and understanding of DevOps principles.
    • Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP).
    • Any relevant framework or technology certifications (e.g., Oracle Java Certifications, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate).
