- Design, develop, and implement software solutions to support the CDC's DHAP IT projects, focusing on public health initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and interpret user/system requirements into design specifications.
- Conduct software testing and validation procedures, and refine systems as necessary based on feedback and performance.
- Document all system development processes and ensure continuous improvement and maintenance of software.
- Support the integration of new applications with existing systems and software.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
- Experience with modern frameworks and environments like .NET, Spring, Angular, or React.
- Demonstrated understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) and noSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Experience in developing software for healthcare or public health related fields.
- Knowledge of federal IT security and privacy regulations.
- Experience in Agile development environments and understanding of DevOps principles.
- Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP).
- Any relevant framework or technology certifications (e.g., Oracle Java Certifications, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate).
