    Teaching and course development for undergraduate and graduate courses in both face to face and online delivery. Advising undergraduate and graduate students. Maintains office hours. Mentoring student research at the undergraduate and graduate level. Serves on committees at the department, college, and university level. Serves on hiring committees. Attends graduations. Participates in departmental recruitment efforts. Maintains professional certifications. Assists with departmental accreditation efforts. Maintains active research agenda and seeks sources of internal and external funding.
    Position Duties:

  • Teaching 40%.
  • Research/grant writing 30%.
  • Service 20%.
  • Advising 10%.
  • Key Competencies:

    Exercise testing and prescription, ECG recognition, Strength & Conditioning program planning.

    Job Conditions:

  • Candidates should have an earned doctorate in: Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or closely related field and appropriate certifications.
  • The faculty member must have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship. Preference will be given to those applicants who have: prior teaching experience at the college level using both face-to-face traditional and online course delivery preferred; a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and evidence of scholarly activity as exemplified by published manuscripts and external funding is preferred; practical experience in exercise testing, biochemical analysis, and exercise programming; experience mentoring undergraduate and graduate level student research; experience with student recruitment at the undergraduate and graduate level.
  • Preferred Qualifications (Education & Experience) Certifications:
  • ACSM-EP, ACSM-CEP and/or NSCA-CSCS.
