Employment Type:

Shifts:
Minimum of 10 hours per shift, including one weekend day per week

Hourly Wage:
Starting at $ 19.75 per hour.

A standard driver's license is necessary, CDL is not needed.

Drug Test:
Mandatory 4-panel drug testing will be conducted.

Driving and Delivery:

The core responsibility of a Delivery Associate is to drive a delivery van and deliver Amazon packages to homes, apartments, and businesses.

This involves safely navigating through the assigned route to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. The delivery associate must be willing to deliver in all weather conditions and in the dark.

Work Schedule:
Full-time Delivery Associates typically work four days a week, totaling 40 hours.

Depending on the needs of the distribution center and the delivery demand, these days might vary and could include weekends.

Handheld Technology:
Delivery Associates use handheld devices provided by Amazon to manage the delivery process.

This technology helps them efficiently track and confirm package deliveries, capture signatures or photos where needed, and report any delivery issues.

Distribution Facility:

Associates are required to arrive at the Amazon distribution facility by a specified time to receive their van assignment and route details.

At the beginning of each shift, there may be a stand-up meeting where drivers gather to discuss the day's plan, potential challenges, and important information related to the deliveries.

Route Assignment:

Delivery Associates receive their route assignment for the day, which is usually pre-determined and loaded onto the provided handheld device.

This route includes a list of addresses and delivery estimates for each stop.

Pre-Trip Inspection:
Before starting their deliveries, associates are required to perform a thorough pre-trip inspection of the delivery can. This inspection ensures that the vehicle is in good condition and safe to drive.

Package Delivery:
Delivery Associates are responsible for delivering a significant number of packages each day, often around 250 or more. The handheld device provides step-by-step navigation to each destination and estimates for delivery times.
At times, associates might be asked to assist other drivers with their deliveries as directed by management. This helps optimize the overall delivery process.
Associates need to refuel the delivery van before returning it to the station at the end of their shift. They are also responsible for cleaning the van by removing trash and debris.

Post-Delivery Debrief:

After completing deliveries and returning the van, associates are required to return the handheld device and keys and have a debriefing session with their manager.

This could involve discussing any issues faced during the deliveries.

Post-Trip Inspection:

Associates may need to perform a post-trip inspection of the vehicle, noting any maintenance or repair requirements that need attention before the next shift.
