    Las Vegas VA is looking for an Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to join their exciting team!

    The role of an Orthopedic Hand Surgeon involves a diverse range of skills within the field:

    • Examination of patients to assess deformities or illnesses
    • Application of appropriate medical treatments for reconstruction, cosmetics, and corrections
    • Surgical procedures for patients seeking enhancements or improvements
    • Diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries
    • Prescription of treatment plans for patients with injuries, disorders, or malformations
    • Direct patient care supervision, including non-surgical treatment options
    • Patient follow-up and provision of necessary medical care
    • Explanation of surgical procedure risks to patients
    • Management of outpatient and inpatient areas
    • Ensuring adequacy of surgical equipment
    • Planning and implementing disease prevention and health promotion programs
    • Command of medical units as per regulations
    • Medical research on new conditions, education, and training of medical staff
    • Participation in on-call schedules promptly
    • Offering outpatient and hospital consultation services
    • Fulfilling CME unit requirements
    • Maintaining records of symptoms, medications, and treatment events
    • Enhancing organizational reputation through accomplishing various tasks and seeking new opportunities
    • Ensuring confidentiality of patient information as per guidelines
    • Handling Orthopedic hand surgery emergencies on call
    • Collaborating with Providers across different specialties
    • Teaching Residents and Fellows
    • Active participation in meetings and initiatives of the Section, other Services, and the Hospital

    Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
