- Provide diagnostic testing for individuals with suspected autism.
- Complete psychosocial assessments, psychological testing, and treatment plans in cooperation with patient and multidisciplinary team.
- Assist with interpreting psychological tests as needed.
- Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the clinical needs of each patient prior to beginning individual, family or group therapy.
- Work collaboratively with the patient to develop a treatment plan addressing the patients goals.
- Deliver behavioral health care in accordance with patient evaluation, treatment plan and within the scope of their license.
- Work directly in treatment relationship with patients, individually or in groups, in consultation with Psychiatrist/NP.
- Provide crisis assessment and intervention.
- Consult and coordinate care of patient with physician/NP, therapists and community agencies.
- Provide appropriate discharge planning.
- Refer patient or patient's family to other community resources.
- Participate in clinical collaboration and/or psychiatry supervision to discuss cases and determine appropriate course of treatment.
- Maintain pertinent patient data and documentation in medical record in accordance with state, TJC and Mercyhealth system guidelines.
- Attend required meetings or staffing as indicated by Program Manager.
- Provide in-service education programs and functions as a resource to other staff and the community as needed.
- Participate in development and selection of patient education materials and services.
- Participate in performance improvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all Mercyhealth, State and TJC policies and regulations.
- Doctorate in Psychology and appropriate level of field experience and coursework.
- Holds and maintains Psychologist license in the state of practice.
