- Performs all electrical functions necessary to maintain all operating and service equipment using standard and specialized tools and equipment
- Makes electrical repairs as required in connection with their electrical service
- Operates equipment in conjunction with repairs and provides assistance in operating functions as necessary to keep equipment running
- May work alone, with minimal supervision and works with other Maintenance Technicians and coordinates and works in conjunction with Operating Technicians and/or Service Technicians in the performance of electrical maintenance tasks
- Be 18 or older and have legal right to work in the U.S.
- Have a high school diploma or GED equivalency from an accredited institution
- Be able to pass the Electrical Maintenance Technician testing at a score of 50 or more
- Work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as required. Shift work may encompass 8, 10, or 12-hour work shifts
- Must be willing to work at heights, climb and/or walk on uneven surfaces, and work in extreme heat and cold
- Be able to successfully pass all pre-employment testing requirements
- Be able to perform essential job duties, successfully pass a drug screen, background check, and a physical exam prior to starting employment
- 3 years of experience in Electrical maintenance
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field
- Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment

Description
Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking a candidate for its Electrical Training Program to staff Maintenance Technician jobs at our Riverdale facility. Maintenance Technician candidates must successfully qualify on a computerized maintenance test to be considered for this position. Upon hire, Maintenance Technician candidates will enter a craft training program consisting of classroom and on-the-job training and must successfully qualify on job related factor tests. Upon successfully completing the program, trainee graduates will be promoted to fully qualified craft status.Summary of Responsibilities Upon Successful Completion of Maintenance Training Program:
