    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Manager of Performance Improvement and Risk Management participates in performance improvement and risk management activities of the Hospital to reduce operational risk and keep the facility accredited within the guidelines of JC and other regulatory agencies.

    Qualifications

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position.

    Education: Bachelor's Degree in nursing (preferred) or healthcare related field, Master's degree preferred.

    Experience: 2 years' experience in healthcare environment; clinical experience with a psychiatric mental health population preferred. Experience in performance improvement/risk management preferred.

    Licensure/Certification: Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality or Six Sigma preferred.

    Knowledge: Possesses knowledge of principles of risk management and performance improvement related to a health care environment. Current knowledge of regulating /accrediting agency guidelines. Knowledge of computer skills required. Familiarity with statistical analysis desired.
