    Arbor Hills, a Generations Healthcare facility, is in search of a Dietary Cook to join our team.

    Job Description:

    The primary role of the Dietary Cook is to provide assistance in all food functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures.
    • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination will be required for all facility employees as of September 30, 2021 (requests for accommodation due to disability or religious belief will be reviewed).
    • Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submit to the Director of Food Services.
    • Coordinate food service with other departments as necessary.
    • Work with the facility's dietitian as necessary and implement recommended changes as required.
    • Ensure that all food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
    • Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus.
    • Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
    • Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
    • Prepare food for therapeutic diets in accordance with planned menus.
    • Prepare food in accordance with standardized recipes and special diet orders.
    • Prepare meals according to resident food preferences and special dietary requirement.
    • Assist in the production of all menu items.
    • Demonstrate safe food handling procedures.
    • Maintain cleanliness of work and storage areas.
    • Supervise dietary staff in the absence of Dietary Supervisor

    Qualifications:
    • Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
    • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
    • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
    • Must be knowledgeable of food procedures.
