    Social Media Marketing Manager


    Job Overview:

We use first-of-its kind proprietary fermentation technology to biodesign new, high-performing ingredients.

    The Biossance team is looking for a strategic and data-driven

    Social Media Marketing Manager

    to join the Global Marketing team.


    This critical role will help position the brand at the intersection of trust and relevance within the social media landscape.

    With a vast knowledge of all social platforms, you'll lead the day-to-day strategic planning and production of all owned, earned, and paid social media content with the goal of solidifying Biossance as a results-driven and purpose-led company.


    The ideal candidate is a social native who is passionate about developing engaging, aspirational, and informative social media content specific to each platform to drive strategic objectives while propelling the business forward.

    You will have proven experience in social media storytelling and content production with familiarity in photography, animation, graphics, and videography as well as a strong sense of design and product styling.

    This role will report into the VP of Content + Community.


    Responsibilities:
    Use relevant data to ideate and pitch content for platform-specific execution that strengthens Biossance's brand DNA and drives engagement, conversation, and loyalty
    Own and populate the social calendar to build brand equity, educate, and translate promotional moments and marketing objectives into compelling, on-brand social ideas
    Manage all content briefing with the internal creative team and external agency that aligns with the brand expression across launches, campaigns, and evergreen assets
    Partner with the retail team to support co-op campaigns and influencer activations that accelerate brand awareness, conversion, new customer acquisition, and sales
    Measure performance success and KPIs to create bi-weekly reports and post-mortem recaps that show content effectiveness while informing ongoing social strategy
    Consistently monitor the competitive landscape and best practices to stay ahead of social media trends while exploring new content opportunities
    Help manage and empower junior team members, providing mentoring and timely feedback to ensure accountability

    Qualifications:

    6+ years experience in marketing, preferably in beauty and/or retail
    A deep understanding of winning content within the social media landscape
    Must be an expert in in-app social features with a strategic approach on how to best utilize them
    Thrives in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment without losing sight of the customer experience
    Ability to quickly pull together and analyze data to share strategic recommendation
    Highly organized with ability to project manage and execute large campaigns/projects from start to finish
    Experience with content creators, graphic design, and video editing is a plus

    $95,000 - $110,000
