- Collaborate with process engineers to scale up LIB cathode materials from laboratory to manufacturing.
- Assist in designing and conducting experimental studies related to cathode material synthesis and characterization.
- Develop and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cathode production processes.
- Work closely with equipment suppliers during concept development, system design iterations, procurement, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Develop operation procedures, safety protocols, and maintenance plans for equipment.
- Provide regular technical progress reports to the engineering team.
- Collaborate with technicians and the R&D team to achieve project goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemistry.
- Preferred: Experience in industrial chemical processing.
- Plus: Related internship in chemical processing or material characterization.
- Strongly preferred: Direct industrial experience with LIBs.
- Strongly preferred: Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting equipment and setups.
- Comfortable with hands-on manufacturing work and collaborative laboratory work.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and possessing strong communication skills.
- This is an on-site position in Bordentown, NJ.
- Able to work in the lab environment and wear personal protective equipment including lab coat, safety goggles, gloves, and/or mask, and respirator as required
- Able to lift & carry 25 pounds
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Has visual inspection capability to assess lab equipment
