Job summary
This position performs general custodial work in the maintenance of assigned school campus and/or other District facilities under direct supervision. The Custodian coordinates and performs cleaning tasks from ceiling to floor inside and outside of buildings and portables.Performs interior cleaning including sweeping mopping stripping waxing hard floors vacuuming cleaning carpet clearing tables dusting surfaces cleaning glass surfaces sanitizing restrooms stocking supplies removes trash from buildings sweeps exterior walks entrances removes trash debris cleans exterior matting windows door frames moves furniture fixtures as needed assists setting up tearing down tables chairs meetings special events notes reports building grounds maintenance needs supervisor secures facility daily turns off lights unoccupied areas reports energy management policy offenses supervisor may take down flag daily requisitions supplies materials perform assigned duties maintains accurate complete records work completed materials used performs all duties compliance District department policies procedures standards quality safety receives responds concerns complaints inquiries areas responsibility operates floor buffers vacuums carpet shampooers various cleaning equipment uses various cleaning supplies chemicals hand tools operates general office equipment interacts communicates groups individuals immediate supervisor coworkers District school administrators staff students public attends training meetings enhance knowledge skills
