    Overview

    Aviation & Missile Solutions, LLC. (AMS) is seeking a talented Electrical or Computer Engineer to join our diverse team in Huntsville, AL, to create unique solutions for complex problems. AMS provides responsive, cost-effective engineering and scientific solutions ranging from air and missile defense technologies, command and control, radar systems, seekers, modeling & simulation, and prototype hardware development and testing.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop radar models and simulation environments to match threat radar intelligence assessments, including waveform scheduling, correlation/tracking, and signal processing.
    • Write technical briefings, design documentation, and test plans to support software development efforts.
    • Model all aspects of radar sensors and functionality, including performance timeline, weapons envelope, clutter mitigation, EA/EP, etc. Radar/weapons systems analysis includes probability of detection, waveform analysis, probability of intercept, area of responsibility, etc.
    • Algorithm development includes detection processes, waveform selection, signal processing, clutter and EA mitigation, adaptive beamforming, and target identification.
    • RF hardware development and integration includes transmitters, exciters, antennas, multi-channel and high-bandwidth receivers, SOTA processors, RF lab equipment, along with software development and testing.

    Qualifications

    Required Experience

    • Strong software development skills in object-oriented programming principles.
    • Proficient in C++.
    • Git experience preferred.
    • Experience working within Agile development processes preferred.
    • Ability to interact with and present to customers, coworkers, and management on a regular basis.

    Preferred Skills/Abilities

    • Resident of the Huntsville, AL area or willingness to relocate.
    • Good people skills and the desire to work with a highly technical team of engineers and scientists.

    Required Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited university.
    • A minimum of 5 years of applicable experience.

    Travel Requirements

    • Must be able to travel up to 20% of the year.

    Physical Requirements

    • Setup and teardown for field tests.
    • Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times.
    • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.

    Security Requirements

    • Citizenship: Candidate must be a US citizen only.
    • Clearance level: Candidate must be able to obtain a TOP SECRET/SSBI clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Final TOP SECRET Clearance.
