    Job DescriptionBridgePhase is a technology services consulting firm that specializes in custom software development and DevSecOps engineering. We leverage cutting-edge technologies to solve real-world problems and provide solutions and services for our clients. We're seeking a skilled Kubernetes platform engineer to join our dynamic team and help us enhance our customer's Kubernetes platform capabilities.

    We are looking for exceptional engineers to deliver expertise and solutions on the Platform One Big Bang product team. Platform One is a customer focused U.S. Air Force platform providing DevSecOps services to the Department of Defense.     In this role, you will provide a broad range of DevSecOps Engineering, Cloud Operations, and Systems Administration support to a DoD software factory. All candidates must have an active Top-Secret clearance to be eligible for hire. This is a hybrid role and candidates must be local to the San Antonio area.

    Required Qualifications:
    • Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices for building services in IaaS/PaaS/SaaS in Cloud environments
    • Minimum 3 years of experience working in an Agile delivery environment
    • Expert level knowledge of Kubernetes, Istio, and Helm
    • Experience with GitOps and Continuous Deployment in hybrid environments
    • Minimum 3 years' experience packaging and securing applications as containers and working in Kubernetes, including experience with Custom Kubernetes Operators, Helm charts, Custom Admission Controller, and Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs)
    • Expert level knowledge around security and compliance experience for Kubernetes
    • Experience deploying and maintaining production workloads using one or more public cloud service providers with a strong preference for AWS or Azure.
    • Experience building and maintaining automated pipelines used for CI/CD, process automation, and/or data processing tasks
    • Familiarity with Linux and scripting (Bash and Python, etc.)
    • Extensive experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) solutions using tools like Packer, Terraform, Ansible, and Helm
    • Proven aptitude to create scripts and/or templates to automate and/or bootstrap infrastructure provisioning and management tasks
    • Exceptional communication skills and desire to work in a 'badgeless" collaborative team environment consisting of Government clients, other Contractors, and Stakeholders
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering related discipline
    • Desired Certifications include AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).
