We're seeking a Banquets Manager who runs events with precision, professionalism, and follow-through. From first inquiry to final thank-you email, this role is about staying organized, responsive, and client-focused—every single time.
This position is ideal for someone with banquet, catering, and event marketing experience, strong communication skills, and a desire to grow while improving systems and results. The right candidate should be equal parts relationship-builder, closer, and event pro. This role is responsible not only for managing inbound banquet and catering inquiries—but for actively generating new business through outreach, referrals, and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively generate new banquet and catering business through: Hotel referral visits; Outreach to corporate event planners, HR teams, and executive assistants; Cold calling and emailing event coordinators and planners; Maintaining relationships with referral partners
- Identify repeat, annual, and long-term corporate clients
- Manage all banquet and catering events from initial lead to final execution
- Respond to all event leads within 12–24 hours with professionalism and accuracy
- Serve as the primary point of contact for banquet and corporate clients
- Coordinate event logistics including staffing, menus, timelines, and contracts
- Use and maintain a CRM (customer relationship/reputation management) system to track leads, communication, contracts, and follow-ups
- Support banquet and event marketing initiatives, promotions, and outreach
- Monitor post-event feedback and support reputation management efforts
- Collaborate with operations, kitchen, and sales teams to ensure seamless execution
- Maintain organized records, clear timelines, and consistent follow-through
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Performance in this role will be measured using the following:
- Lead Response Time: 95%+ of inbound banquet and catering leads responded to within 12–24 hours
- Booking Conversion Rate: Percentage of qualified leads converted into booked events
- Event Execution Accuracy: Minimal day-of errors; events executed according to contract and timeline
- CRM Accuracy & Consistency: All leads, notes, contracts, and follow-ups properly logged and maintained in CRM
- Client Satisfaction & Reviews: Positive post-event feedback and review scores
- Revenue Growth: Month-over-month or year-over-year growth in banquet and catering sales
- Internal Communication: Timely, clear coordination with operations and culinary teams
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience (required)
- Proven experience in banquets, catering, or corporate event management
- Experience in business or corporate banquet/event marketing (required)
- CRM / customer reputation management experience (required)
- Highly professional, organized, and detail-oriented
- Creative thinker with a desire to grow and improve systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously

Position Details
- 30-40 hours per week
- Some evenings and weekends required based on event schedules
