    Position Overview: Soliant, in partnership with school districts in Elmhurst, IL, is seeking a Certified Bilingual Special Education Teacher for the 2024/2025 school year. The ideal candidate will provide specialized educational services to bilingual students with disabilities, fostering their academic and social-emotional growth.     Responsibilities:

    • Provide instruction to students with disabilities in both English and the target language, ensuring access to the curriculum.
    • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the student's IEP team, including parents, general education teachers, and other specialists.
    • Utilize culturally responsive teaching practices to support the diverse needs of bilingual students with disabilities.
    • Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet the linguistic and academic needs of students.
    • Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust instruction as needed to promote growth and achievement.
    • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
    • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education endorsement.
    • Bilingual proficiency in English and the target language (e.g., Spanish) required.
    • Certification or endorsement in Bilingual Education preferred.
    • At least one year of recent experience working as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in a bilingual or multicultural setting.
    • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
