Job TitleENGINEER, MECHANICAL or SYSTEMS -JDLocationMiddletown, RI 02842 US (Primary)Job Type / StatusFull-TimeEducationBachelor's DegreeClearance Level RequiredSecretJob DescriptionMcLaughlin Research Corporation (MRC), an established DoD engineering company, has multiple opportunities for Mechanical Engineers and System Engineers to support the Platform & Payload Integration department at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport.
The successful candidate will apply mechanical and model based systems engineering skills and experience to develop, integrate, and provide life cycle support for various launchers and payload systems, including unmanned undersea vehicles.
Tasking includes, but is not limited to the following:Develop and interpret requirements, drawings, data sets, reports, and specifications
Interface with other members of project teams to define and implement engineering solutions to meet systems mission objectives
Resolve programmatic and technical problems that would affect cost, schedule, and performance.
Develop, document and maintain test procedures, methods, and tools
Integrate technical, cost, and safety considerations into the product definition to comply with Department of Defense requirements
Perform system analyses, design studies, testing, and data collection/analysis
Job RequirementsBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering2-5 years of engineering experienceThe candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, scheduled driven environment.
Must be able to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with submarine launcher, weapons handling, weapons stowage and/or Unmanned Underwater Vehicles is a plus
