We are seeking a Director, Human Resources, People and Culture to help us further our mission, achieve our business goals, and support our culture.

    In this role, you are a key driver of our leadership culture, providing strategic direction to and partnering with our management team to improve our organizational health and performance. You will help us achieve our organizational goals by ensuring all of our human resources programs and strategies reflect our cultural aspirations to make WECC an employer of choice.

    You will-
    • Lead and develop the human resources function and oversee human capital strategies, including cultural initiatives, organizational design, performance management, talent acquisition, talent development and succession planning, employee engagement and retention, compliance, compensation and benefits, workforce planning, and process improvement.
    • Develop HR strategies that align with our culture, long-term strategy, and organizational goals.
    • Use a data-driven approach to provide input on human resource solutions to business problems and contribute to measurable results.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, inclusiveness, and innovation to influence the employee experience and to shape and create a high-performance culture.
    • Play a pivotal role in supporting and furthering our leadership culture.
    • Promote and value diversity, equity, and inclusion.
    • Ensure that talent management and performance management initiatives focus on improving operational and program efficiency and effectiveness, as well as employee engagement.
    • Oversee and ensure the accuracy of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
    • Make recommendations for programs, practices, and policies.
    • Guide management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.
    • Respond to complex, sensitive, and confidential employee relations issues, which may include conducting investigations and determining appropriate resolutions.
    • Maintain responsibility for managing the department's budget and delivering programs within the allotted budget.
    • Lead company compliance with all HR-related legal and government reporting requirements.
    • Protect the interests of the company and employees in accordance with WECC HR policies and governmental laws and regulations.
    You will enjoy this role if you-
    • Are highly motivated and have a record of developing high-performing teams while improving HR program delivery through the principles of effective stewardship.
    • Collaborate as a business partner capable of showing meaningful contributions through HR metrics and people and culture strategies.
    • Have demonstrated experience helping organizations expand their HR functions from transactional to transformational to create value for the company, employees, and stakeholders.
    • Have expertise in organizational development and incorporating its practices into HR efforts.
    • Understand the nuances between HR initiatives and people and culture initiatives and have a track record of improving both in prior roles.
    • Hold a bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field, or have an equivalent combination of education and work experience showing the ability to perform major duties.
    • Have 10 years' HR management experience demonstrating progressive responsibility.
    • Have extensive knowledge of employment law and compliance.
    • Have proven expertise in compensation and benefits administration, including a knowledge of salary administration practices, wage and hour law, and 401k retirement plan administration.
    • Have proven employee relations and investigations experience and expertise.
    • Have excellent leadership skills.
    • Are PHR or SHRM certified.
    • Have strong business acumen.
    • Have excellent computer skills, including expertise using the Microsoft Office suite and HRIS tools.
    • Have well-developed interpersonal, speaking, writing, and presentation skills.
    • Are well organized, proactive, and can adapt to and lead through change.

    Benefits and Compensation

    The base salary range for this full-time position is $132,748-$176,997 + discretionary pay + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and mid-point for the position across all locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
