Our client, a growing organization, is seeking an

Accountant

to join their team based in Tampa, FL. This is an incredible opportunity for an individual to be involved in a highly visible position.

The ideal candidate must be technically strong, comfortable taking ownership of their respective financials and be familiar with US GAAP (Generally accepted accounting principles).

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$60,000 - $70,000


Position Overview:

The Accountant will be reporting directly to the President and primarily assist in material and production variance analysis on end-to-end inventory This Accountant position will serve as a lead in the inventory control and manage all valuation calculations and subject matter related activities.

Responsibilities of the Accountant:
Conducting financial analysis of operations
Preparing financial reports for tax returns, filings, and financial statements
Recording journal entries accurately
Managing accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections
Ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations
Conduct and analyze variance analysis on inventory transactions and controls
Ensure month-end close periods are accurate, including journal entries, account reconciliations and roll-forwards in accordance with reporting deadlines
Manage end-to-end inventory processes and provide analysis to Sr. Management


Qualifications for the Accountant:
Prefer three to five years' experience in accounting
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
Knowledge of MRP Systems is highly preferred
Organization, attention to detail, sense of urgency
Involves extensive internal and external customer communication
Must be able to make independent decisions on routine office activities


Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
