*_Position Summary & Responsibilities_*_Employee is responsible with other maintenance supervisors for operation, safety, and security of the HCF Maintenance Shops; includes but not limited to electrical, mechanical, construction and plumbing trades. Maintains security of shop areas and both Class A & B Tool Cribs. Ensures all equipment is maintained in good working order, operated properly, and returned to its proper storage after use. Knowledge of the standard practices in the building trades; plumbing; carpentry; electrical; masonry; painting; welding; sheet metal; refrigeration and air conditioning, and mechanical trades. Knowledge of safety measures and occupational hazards of the trades; knowledge of regulations concerning hiring. Ability to read, interpret and work from sketches, blueprints, and specifications. Ability to keep careful and thorough records. Ability to plan, organize, assign and approve or otherwise supervise the work of skilled craft workers. Skill in the use and operation of tools, machines, and equipment commonly used in construction and repair work at the skilled craft level. Skill in evaluating, analyzing, and resolving construction and mechanical problems__._

_Applicants selected for interview will be evaluated by an interview panel using performance/behavior based interview questions. The interview panel will make recommendations to the Warden for final approval. A second interview may be conducted.
Applicants will be subject to background check and criminal history investigation; must pass a drug screen and a TB test unless promoting, transferring, or demoting from another safety sensitive position within the same agency; and possess a valid Driver's License.
