    Job DescriptionDescription:

    Rumbling Bald is accepting applications for Concessions / Pool Attendant scheduled to work 30-40 hours per week. Qualified candidates must have open availability during the month May/June/July/August and every weekend during September. The Attendant provides excellent customer service to members and guests visiting the pool and concessions. Maintains the established public health, safety and cleanliness standards for all pools, restrooms, and related areas. The rate of pay is $15 per hour plus tips. Seasonal positions are available 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, 10:00 am- 5:00 pm, and 2:00 pm – 8:30 pm.

    Essential Job Duties

    • Courteously greets and takes orders from guests.
    • Operates cash register, Performs daily cash handling and equipment rental inventory responsibilities for revenue transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
    • Serves concession food, pre-made snack foods and beverages.
    • Sells sundries and other merchandise for the recreational use of guests and members.
    • Ensures that all pools, restrooms, and related areas are properly sanitized.
    • Monitors and cleans restrooms, changing rooms and pool deck.
    • Enforces the pool and equipment usage rules and regulations, such as inner tubes in the lazy river.
    • Maintains adequate supplies in the facility.
    • Assists with special member related pool events, cross-training events, and other special projects in a productive and efficient manner.
    • Performs other related duties as directed by Wellness Director.
    Requirements:
    • Demonstrates teamwork and customer service focus.
    • Ability to swim on an intermediate level.
    • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Self-starter with high energy level and positive demeanor.
    • Excellent customer service skills.

    Experience

    • Six months in a related position

    Education

    • High School diploma, GED or currently enrolled in school.
    • Certified CPR, Lifesaving Certificate and/or First Aid Certificate preferred.
    • *ServeSafe certification preferred

    Physical Requirements

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and speak with others using clear and professional language.
    • Must be able to endure long periods of sitting, standing or walking in a hot, humid environment.
    • Will be occasionally required to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 15 pounds without assistance.
    • Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping and use hands and fingers to handle, or feel.
    • Drive vehicle for performance of duties.
