- Education: Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensure: Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) and a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Missouri.
- Certifications: Certification by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Manage overall patient care including lifestyle and development issues.
- Participate in development and revisions of the clinic policies and procedures and annual review.
- Record patient medical histories and symptoms.
- Perform physical exams and patient observations.
- Develop treatment plans for acute and chronic diseases. Detect changes in a patient's health and change treatment plans, as necessary.
- Educate patients and families on managing illnesses or injuries and disease prevention.
- Perform screening evaluations, order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests.
- Monitor and operate medical equipment.
- Diagnose health issues, evaluate responses to treatment and medications.
- Prescribe medications.
- Adherence to all applicable evidence-based practice models.
- Orally communicate information effectively and accurately.
- Ensure compliance with RHC Standards and other federal, state, and local regulations.
- Abide by program and agency policies and procedures.
- Other job duties and special projects as assigned.
