    Job Title: Assistant HR Manager

    Japanese/English bilingual preferred.

    Job Summary:

    This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to manage the bi-weekly payroll process, performance evaluation system, and HR department activities. Key responsibilities include:

    • Overseeing payroll and auditing processes
    • Managing performance evaluations to drive high performance
    • Planning and controlling HR department activities and strategies
    • Ensuring effective operation of HRIS systems
    • Developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with business goals
    • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
    • Advising leadership on HR policies and legal requirements
    • Enhancing work relationships, morale, and employee retention
    • Maintaining confidentiality at all times
    • Reviewing and updating the employee handbook
    • Assisting with benefits management, including healthcare and FMLA
    • Planning the company's annual calendar and managing manpower budgeting

    Key Responsibilities:

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key areas:

    • Payroll Management: Oversee the bi-weekly payroll process and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
    • Performance Evaluations: Manage performance evaluations to drive high performance and development among employees.
    • HR Department Activities: Plan and control HR department activities and strategies to achieve business objectives.
    • HRIS Systems: Ensure effective operation of HRIS systems to streamline HR processes.
    • HR Strategies: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals to drive organizational success.
    • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws to minimize risk.
    • Leadership Support: Advise leadership on HR policies and legal requirements to inform decision-making.
    • Employee Engagement: Enhance work relationships, morale, and employee retention through effective communication and support.

    Requirements:

    To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

    • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
    • At least 5-7 years of relevant Human Resources experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Experience with ADP systems is a plus
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
    • Japanese/English bilingual skills are preferred
