    Description

    Amazon is seeking a results-driven professional to oversee supply management for hardware powering Amazon Web Services (AWS). Our Supply Chain Planning Managers are experts in their industries, delivering the supply that drives AWS's explosive growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Analyze industry trends and technology to identify opportunities that minimize risk, ensure continuity of supply, and leverage industry developments benefiting Amazon.
    • Pursue opportunities to consolidate the supply base using system-level tools and techniques.
    • Understand forecasting, demand planning, material/supply/inventory planning, and manufacturing processes/capacity to verify supply commitments.
    • Manage supply buffers and allocation to shorten lead times and build resiliency into the supply chain without excess.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or related field.
    • 6+ years of experience in supply/in-stock management, forecast/demand/supply/capacity planning, enterprise technology, or electronics manufacturing.
    • 3+ years of experience in silicon, electronic components, original design manufacture (ODM) of server hardware supply management.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • MBA or advanced degree in supply chain management or quantitative disciplines.
    • Broad supply chain experience, including new product introduction, forecast/demand/supply/capacity planning, and supplier management.
    • Strong proficiency in analysis tools, including Microsoft Excel, SQL, Tableau, and statistics software.
